Zach has been around the sport of volleyball for over 30 years, an active player for 20+ years, and a coach for over 15 years.

COACHING:

  • • Travis Air Force Base – Assistant Coach
  • o Moved up the rankings from A Silver to AA Gold in the Northern California Power League

  • • 32nd Street Navy Volleyball Club – Head Coach
    o Two finals appearance at the Southwest Regional Championship

  • • Tidewater Volleyball Association (TVA) Boys 18U Junior Olympic team – Head Coach
    o Three consecutive seasons ranked as a TOP THREE team in the Old Dominion Region
    o Three appearance as the USA Volleyball Junior Olympics Boys Championship (Middle of the Pack finishes)

  • • Tidewater Volleyball Association (TVA) Girls 14U Junior Olympic team – Head Coach
    o Five players picked to “All-Tournament Team” at Old Dominion Regional Championships
    o Did not finish season with team due to Iraq Deployment

  • • Island Fire Volleyball Girls 18U – Head Coach
    o Introduced Anacortes community to club volleyball

COACHING EDUCATION:


• IMPACT Certified
• USA Volleyball Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP) – Level 1

PLAYING:
• Rated OPEN/PRO in three different organizations (Northern California, California Volleyball Beach Association, AVPNext)

• Won numerous outdoor (grass/sand) doubles tournaments throughout volleyball career

• Voted MVP during Marine Corps Southwest Regional Championship (2002)

• Voted twice to the Marine Corps Southwest Regional Championship All-Tournament Team (2002/2003)
